I just recently got some fun new cooking appliances like this Blackstone Griddle and Ninja Woodfire Grill that comes with it's own griddle attachment. Making hibachi style meals are one of the main reasons I got one. I can save $20-30 cooking my own hibachi style food at home rather than going out to eat.

Flat Tops or griddles are perfect for making breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Cook eggs, pancakes, Quesadillas, grilled cheese, steak, potatoes, HIbachi Chicken and Vegetables, and more. Also, enjoy a bottom shelf and one side shelf for food storage and prep.

Why You Will Love This Recipe

Making hibachi was one of the main reasons I got a Blackstone griddle. You can cook a complete meal on it because the flat top surface is pretty large like at the restaurants.

Hibachi is one of those meals I sometimes wing it cause the sauce is easily adaptable to whatever Asian ingredients you have on hand. I will typically use soy sauce or sesame oil.

These ingredients below are pretty much the main ones I use. Also, 90-second microwave rice packets are a lifesaver! I get mine at Target.

I love shopping at Aldi and all these ingredients you can get at there.

What Ingredients do I need for Hibachi Chicken and Vegetables?

Ingredients needed for Blackstone HIbachi Chicken and Vegetables.
  • Sesame Oil - Sesame oil is a vegetable oil derived from sesame seeds. It has a nutty and distinct flavor and is commonly used in cooking, particularly in Asian cuisine.
  • Soy Sauce This recipe calls for quite a bit of Soy Sauce and Sesame oil, two key ingredients to always have on hand when making Asian-style recipes.
  • Teriyaki Sauce - This sauce is made of soy sauce, sake or mirin, and sugar, along with other possible seasonings such as garlic, ginger, or sesame.
  • Olive Oil - Use a high-quality extra-virgin olive oil. My favorite is the Simply Nature Organic Virgin Olive OIl.
  • Garlic - Chopped fresh garlic can take some time to chop so I often always use the freshly minced garlic that comes already made in a jar.
  • Ginger - Fresh ginger is a root that is commonly used in cooking and has a strong, pungent flavor and aroma. It is commonly found in Asian cuisine, but is also used in many dishes.
  • Chicken Breasts - I used boneless chicken thighs or chicken breasts
  • Vegetables - Onions, Zucchini, and Mushrooms
