Braunschweiger Dip (All Aldi Ingredients)

It’s once again German week at Aldi and they had Braunschweiger in their ads so I picked one up. I was curious to see what you could make with and what it tasted like. I saw that dips or spreads were kind of popular. So, here is a recipe for Braunschweiger dip. It has 4 other ingredients you need which all can be found at your local Aldi.

I thought it would be fun to share a random recipe with a weird ingredient from Aldi. You never know what you’re going to find there at the store every week and sometimes you just pick up random stuff like this Braunschweiger.  People want to know what to make with it.

Serving Tips

My family loves to serve appetizers on Christmas Eve. Here are some tips I’ve learned during the Holidays for preparing or serving appetizers in a large family.

  • Have a variety of appetizers available served warm or cold.
  • See if there are other ways to prepare the appetizer so you’re not constantly using the oven in your home or someone else’s. Slow Cookers or Air Fryers are great for this reason.
  • Many appetizers can be made ahead of time. See what ingredients in the recipe can be cooked the day before.
  • Have plenty of fancy serving platters around to arrange the appetizers on. Dips and fancy spreads look nice on a white serving tray.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to store leftovers:

Always store leftovers in clean, food-grade containers. The type of container doesn’t really matter. Use zip lock, glass, plastic,  whatever!  Make sure to store any leftovers in an airtight container before putting it in the freezer or fridge.

What else goes well with Braunschweiger?

Braunschweiger is very spreadable so you can make some fancy sandwiches with it. Or you can use it as a dip like I did. Serve it with some dill pickles on the side, some pretzels, or any type of cracker you like. You can also serve as a sandwich.

Is Braunschweiger ready to eat?

Yes you can eat it cold straight out of the container it comes in. No need to warm it up or anything.
